Hercules Cave’s Beach

Hercules Cave’s Beach

The best thing about this beach isn’t the white sand or palm trees, but a cave located just near it. This cave gives the name for the beach, which is known as the Hercules Cave’s Beach. According to traditional legends and myths, the Greek hero Hercules rested in this Cave, thousands years ago, while doing one of his famous 12 labors. Just this simple fact (or myth?) makes the beach – and its cave – one of the most important touristic attractions in Tangier, a place where children and adults just love to visit. This famous Cave, although small, has another attractive point: it’s one of the most unusual caves you can find in world, as it is possible to see Africa’s silhouette at the cave’s entrance.

The beach is clean and the water a little bit cold, but this isn’t a problem for any of the thousands of tourists that arrive there during seasons and holidays. If you get to Hercules’ Cave you should spend some hours relaxing on its beach.

Essaouira Beach

Essaouira, beach soccer

During a sunny and hot day it is difficult to realize what is bluer in Essaouira Beach: the ocean or the sky. Together, they create and stunning view, a place that would be amazing on any postcard or picture.  The camels, the many little boats and some of the Morocco colors make Essaouira even more special. The beach is also located in the Atlantic Ocean (so be careful about the strong current, as this article just has explained about the Agadir Beach) and be prepared to have an amazing beach experience:  every tourist that arrives there takes at least 5 minutes just admiring all the beauty of the region. As the Agadir Beach, the Essaouira Beach is a good choice for adventure travelers. There are a lot of options for those looking for some sports as surf or kiting. Seafood restaurants are there, offering the best of the African cosine.

Agadir Beach

Agadir Beach

If the main beach in Tangier isn’t exactly the right place for those looking for aquatic sports, the Agadir Beach, located just 10 kilometers far from the city center, is surely a good option. There tourists can enjoy a white sand beach and an amazing azure ocean – it is a paradisiacal place to surf lovers.  The Agadir beach offers some services and facilities that aren’t so easy to find: there you will be able to rent a jet ski to explore the region and restaurants and bars are just near the sea. On the sand you can lie dawn and relax while getting a tan or, as many usually do, rent a Camel and start a exploration trip during a couple of hours. Yes, camel rides are not only available, but are one of Tangier’s top attractions, and for sure you (and your kids) will love this unusual experience. The Agadir Beach, one of the cleanest in Tangier’s region, is located on the Atlantic Ocean, so take care about the sea current, as it can be dangerous and strong near the Gibraltar Straight.
