Sagem (Safran group ) has signed an agreement with the Hassan II Fund to build a manufacturing facility in Casablanca, Morocco .

The agreement was signed at the opening of the Mid Park Industrial Park at a ceremony in the presence of His Royal Highness King Mohammed VI of Morocco , Abdelkader Amara, Moroccan Minister of Industry , Trade and New Technologies Abdelwahed Kabbaj , President of the Hassan II Fund , Bruno Durand , vice president of production and Nadia Berrada , CEO of Sagem Sagem Morocco .

Sagem Morocco begin operations in early October 2013 on a temporary site during construction . The new plant, located in the airport area Nouaceur near Casablanca , will be operational in September 2014. It involves a total investment of € 5 million in 2013-2014.

Sagem Morocco , a wholly owned subsidiary of Sagem , will specialize in the assembly of mechanical and electronic components for the aviation industry , and will integrate the assembly operations are currently outsourced. The new factory will cover 4,000 square meters and will have approximately 150 employees in 2015.

This investment in Morocco Sagem aims to increase the competitiveness of Sagem , and is part of the effort to modernize the company , which also includes a new factory in Buchelay in the Paris region.
