Holiday highlights in morocco

Discover the country's rich cultural history while staying with family and friends in a world-famous boutique hotel or charming private riad. Unwind on breathtaking beaches, play a round at one of the many spectacular golf courses, or get your pulse racing in North Africa's adventure capital.

Morocco holiday highlights

  • The contrasts of Marrakech, from the monumental history of the El Badi Palace and Koutoubia Mosque to the vibrancy of Djema el Fna at sundown, with musicians and acrobats, snake charmers and street food sellers.
  • Experiencing the contrasts of Marrakech!!”
We spend 5 nights at the Riad from 6th - 11th of June 2009. The Riad is beautifully decorated and the owner, Jill with her personnel, work effortlessly to make sure guests take the most out of the hotel and of Marrakech (restaurants, shopping, sight-seeing etc etc). We stayed at a standard room which is very nicely furbished, but a little small. What is amazing about this Riad is its location. It is situated inside Old Marrakech (Medina) and in order to get to the hotel, one has to walk through some very picturesque alleys that make you feel medieval but are safe otherwise. Then the Riad's door opens and you find yourself pampered in luxury. A true hidden gem, an oasis. It is a great option if you want to stay in the Medina. and not the more "European" side of the new city.
Riad Noir d'Ivoire: Beautiful, elegant & relaxing !!Overall this Riad deserves all 5 stars.

• Other beautiful imperial cities Meknes and Fes - get lost in the tiny, winding, sensuous alleyways of Fez Medina!
The most complete medieval city of the Arab world, Fes is a strange and appealing mix of middle ages meets the modern world. The extraordinary medina city of Fes El Bali is worth a few days walking in itself. Other highlights include the Merenid tombs, the Royal Palace and the Mellah (Jewish quarter). Fes was Morocco's capital for more than 400 years and is still considered the religious and cultural center of the country.

• The fascinating Berber villages of the High Atlas.
This excursion takes you to the northern edge of the Souss Valley into the foothills of the lofty High Atlas mountains just 35 minutes drive north of Taroudant and is centred around visits to an area not normally visited by foreigners.

• The golden beaches of the Atlantic and Mediterranean coast.
There are many beautiful Moroccan Beaches to show you. Morocco on Western Africa is blessed by two coastlines, the Atlantic Ocean on the west and the Mediterranean Sea on the north. This long shoreline provides for amazing beaches. Tourism from Europe to Morocco is on the rise for years.

• The superlative golf courses and exhilarating activities.

Whistler Bungee, British Columbia's highest and most pristine year round bungee jumping site, located 15 min south of world renowned Whistler Village Resort, off HWY 99.

Experience bungee jumping in the beautiful wilderness of the Whistler Resort Valley nestled between old growth forests and rugged basalt column cliffs

Morocco Holidays

Morocco Holidays

New colours and culture; ancient, beautiful cities; and endless golden beaches - experience a holiday in exotic Morocco, only three hours away.
Amelkis Golf Club, Marakech

Curving along the north western edge Northern Africa, the Kingdom of Morocco is only a short ferry trip from the shores of mainland Europe. However, with a coastline that stretches between the Mediterranean and Atlantic, rugged mountain ranges and expanses of white-sand desert, there can be no forgetting that you are exploring the crust of Africa.
A spectacular country, Morocco encompasses every extreme. Translucent, turquoise waters lap lazily on golden sands, the shoreline a mix of holiday resorts, sleepy seaside towns and deserted coves, while dramatic craggy peaks and deep-cut gorges flush with leafy valleys hide a tangle of walking routes, mountain villages and Roman ruins. Mount Toubkal, the second largest peak in Africa, attracts a crowd of hiking enthusiasts to the rocky cliffs of the Atlas Mountains, while for others, camel trekking across the Sahara is the biggest draw.
The cities in Morocco are as diverse and rich as its landscape. A colourful blend of Arab, Berber, European and African influences, they are a picturesque panorama of elegant minaret towers and domed mosques that are hugged by a labyrinth of winding lanes. The streets bubble with noisy chatter and waft with authentic aromas, the market stalls hung with ornate fabrics or displays of colourful spices.
Featuring everything from nomadic encampments in the Sahara to white-stone fishing villages, crumbling Roman ruins to buzzing metropolises, there really is something for everyone.
